F1 World Championship Edition is the sequel to F1. It was released for the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Game Gear in 1995. It was only released in Europe and Australia.
Sega Master System and Sega Mega-CD[4] versions were once planned. A prototype Mega Drive version seems to indicate that the game was also set for release in North America, where it would have been published by Time Warner Interactive.
